A Marée Hôtes - Côte d’Albatre - Mme Bourgès Di Rosa
The “In their footsteps” exhibit : the story of women and men who lived the DDay
They are called Léonard, Thomas or Françoise, they are Canadian, British or French, soldiers or civilians and they were there in June 1944 on the Normand beaches.
Some landed on Juno Beach, others lived on the Côte de Nacre and were waiting for the Allies for long months : they tell us what they lived through and show us the images that stayed with them forever… The fear, the anguish, the noise, the bloody battle, the arrival of the Canadians with their funny accent and the joy of freedom.
This outdoor exhibit made of cubic structures pays homage to the witnesses of DDay – soldiers and civilians – through witness accounts and biographies. It will take the form of a historical and memorial course in the town of the Juno Beach Sector : Courseulles-sur-Mer, Bernières-sur-Mer, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Langrune-sur-Mer, Luc-sur-Mer, Reviers, Douvres-la-Délivrande.
